How consent to text messages is collected

This is the exact statement a person sees next to the consent checkbox on every inquiry form, and what the assistant says on a call before any text is sent:

“I agree to receive calls and text messages from LeasePilot, the AI leasing assistant for [Customer name], about this property, including showing details and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of renting.”

1. Types of messages: showing details and calendar confirmations, a reminder and confirmation request before the showing, replies to the person's questions about that property, and one follow-up after a missed call. No marketing.
2. Message frequency: varies; typically 2 to 10 messages around one showing.
3. Rates: message and data rates may apply.
4. Opt out: reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time (also UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT); reply HELP for help.

The checkbox is unchecked by default and the form submits without it; a person who does not tick it is contacted by phone only. The Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and SMS Terms are linked directly under the checkbox. Below is the consent section of the live form at leasepilotos.com/inquire/demo, as shown to the person:

• Program name: LeasePilot rental inquiry messaging. LeasePilot is the sender: its AI leasing assistant texts from LeasePilot's numbers, and every message opens with “LeasePilot for [Customer name]” so the person knows whose property it is about.
• Message types: showing details and calendar confirmations, a reminder and confirmation request before a showing, replies to the person's questions, and one follow-up when a call was missed. Conversational and transactional only; no marketing or promotional content.
• Frequency: message frequency varies; a typical inquiry is 2 to 10 messages in the days around a showing.
• Rates: message and data rates may apply.
• Opt out: reply STOP at any time (also UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT). One confirmation is sent and messaging ends. Help: reply HELP or email support@leasepilotos.com.
• Not a condition: agreeing to texts is never required to view, apply for or rent a property. A person who declines texts is contacted by phone instead.
• Privacy: mobile numbers and messaging consent are not shared, sold or provided to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes (Privacy Policy, section 4).

The person has inquired about a property and is on a call with LeasePilot's AI assistant for the Customer. The call opens with an identification and, where required, a recording disclosure (“This call may be recorded for quality and training”). After a showing is booked, the assistant says, verbatim:

“You'll get a calendar invite, and LeasePilot will text this number with the details and a confirmation an hour before the showing; please reply to that text, otherwise the showing may be cancelled. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, and our texting terms and privacy policy are at leasepilotos.com slash sms-terms. Is it okay to text you?”

Only a yes results in messages. A no is recorded as a decline, no text is ever sent to that number, and the Customer confirms the showing by phone instead. The consent (or decline), the time, and the call recording and transcript are stored with the person's record as evidence.

Each Customer has a public inquiry form on this site at https://www.leasepilotos.com/inquire/<agency> (reference copy: https://www.leasepilotos.com/inquire/demo), linked from their listings and signs. The person enters their name and mobile number and picks a listing. Consent is a separate checkbox, unchecked by default, with this statement next to it and the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and SMS Terms links directly beneath:

“I agree to receive calls and text messages from LeasePilot, the AI leasing assistant for [Customer name], about this property, including showing details and reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of renting.”

The form can be sent without ticking the box; the person is then contacted by phone only. The checkbox state, the exact statement shown, the time and the network address are stored with the person's record as the consent evidence. The first text in the thread identifies LeasePilot, the Customer and the assistant and repeats how to opt out.

“LeasePilot: Hi Dana, it's Maya, LeasePilot's AI leasing assistant. You're booked to see demo listing Maple Court #2B on Tue Sep 16 at 3:00 PM. Reply YES to confirm. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

Every message names LeasePilot (and, on a Customer's own campaign, that Customer); reminder and confirmation messages repeat the opt-out instruction.

Consent and opt-out events are stored per person with the method, time and evidence, and every outgoing message is checked against that record before it is sent. A STOP is honored immediately across all Customers on the platform for that number. Questions: support@leasepilotos.com.
